We understand that you probably have a lot of questions about what braces for your teen will look like! Whether you’re curious about how long treatment will take to if they can still enjoy their extracurricular activities, we are here to answer your questions.

Will having braces impact my speech?

While it may take a couple of days for you to get used to talking with braces on, there are no long-term effects on your speech!

Does having braces hurt?

You may feel a bit of discomfort when you initially get your braces put on, and some discomfort when you get your braces “tightened”, but braces definitely don’t hurt!

Will I still be able to participate in extracurricular activities?

Whether you play an instrument or play a sport, you will absolutely still be able to participate in your extracurricular activities. While it may take some time to get used to having braces, after a while, you’ll feel like you’ve always had them!

How long will my orthodontic treatment take?

Since every smile is unique and requires a different treatment plan, we can’t say how long treatment will take until we evaluate you.

How do I take care of my teeth during my braces treatment?

Taking care of your teeth is very important during orthodontic treatment! We recommend brushing after every meal, making sure to get above and below the bracket. We also recommend flossing regularly, and will be happy to show you how to floss with your braces when you get them on.

How much do braces cost?

Unfortunately, we are not able to give you an estimate until we evaluate your needs and come up with a treatment plan for you. However, we believe everyone is entitled to a beautiful smile, which is why we offer a variety of payment plans!
